New Regulation no. 818/2016 on fees for patents, trademarks, designs, etc., has been adopted by the Minister of Industries and Commerce and will take effect on 1 January 2017.

On 1 January, Regulation no. 818/2016 on fees for patents, trademarks, designs, etc. will take effect.
The regulation, which was recently adopted by the Minister of Industries and Commerce, brings about changes in the fees for the services of the Icelandic Patent Office.

PPH co-operation with China extended until 2019

The Icelandic Patent Office and SIPO launched in 2014 a pilot PPH project between the two offices for a period of two years. The programme includes a two-way national PPH route and a one-way PCT-PPH route, namely, for Chinese applicants filing in Iceland.

The new website of the Icelandic Patent Office has been launched. The new site features a new interface and has been built and designed with an emphasis on functionality and navigation to improve customers‘ access to information. The new site also features a responsive web design and is therefore compatible with tablets and smartphones and adapts to various screen sizes.
